Aviation is probably my most favorite hobby. For years I flew glider airplanes, tried hang gliding and recently got my P2 certification in paragliding. I also like to build and fly remote control airplanes and kites.

Preflight check with my instucor Bob Ost in Ed Levin State Park. He is the safest pg. instructor around San Francisco and he has his own web page. A very dedicated launch, after infating and checking the canopy. Flying off the 300" hill and preparing for the first turn. Landing. I cought a big sink, so I am a little off the lendig zone.

Launching the 11" box kite. It has enormous power and I use it to lift a camera into the air. For more info on kite arial photography visit the web pages of  Berkeley Professor Charles C. Benton The kite is already in the air. The small black dot is the camera. Gloves are a must to be able to hadle this kite. Setting up the picavet suspension, that keeps the camera vertical and supresses camera shaking. Arial photo taken in La Paz Mexico at the Sea of Cortez. The line of the kite is clearly visible
